Oh tubbs!
I would really like to help you...
but your wish seems -at least in English language- almost impossible.

Also to a really excellent download experienced member wasn't it possible to find this film.

You will find this movie here with us below :schilder_klick:

1985-cease-fire-verbrannte-erde-f52/

This is Cease fire in German language.
If it will be enough to you download it - if it will stay only with YOUR collection.

I don't know how important the language is to you.

I have even a clip in Bild langauge. I don't care about - it was not more fitting to get - so I am happy to get it at all.

So, I watched the whole film in German yesterday! It was a very strange viewing experience, but totally worth it. (Sorry all the German speaking guys, I really do like your language, it's just that I've never had a chance to learn it!)
:sorryyy:

The film itself was very intense and emotional, and the helicopter scene was incredibly sad. I'm very much against war, and I think that everyone (especially young people) should watch this film so that they would understand what it does to people. We are almost desensitized by all the horrible images we see on the news every day, so we rarely stop to think about the individuals who have had to witness those things first hand.

I'm looking forward to watching this film in English if they ever decide to release it on dvd here. It's really a shame that it's not available for everyone to watch.

Perfect decembersammy - you have the same impressions with this movie like I.
It is as damn intense and it shows the problems these soldiers take home forever
in their lifes.
My Dad was as German in Russia during the 2. WW.
We have not to discuss - all what the German has done that time was WRONG AND HORRYFYING!
My Dad then was a bloodyoung guy in the age of 16 (!!!).
There was no own decision to go to Russia - he would simply send as 'cannon fodder'.

He has survived under terribly doings and experiences.
Then in the 70s as I was old enough to ask: How was that... then in this war...?
He still got tears in his eyes, stroke my head and told me : *Sorry little girl I never will be able to tell that was happened that time... I CAN'T*

I am not sure if you still will be possible to watch an VHS tape.
With that the movie is still to buy in English syncro for a damn good prize.

I'm really sorry for what happened to your father. I'm glad he survived, many people just disappeared and died in Russia during that war. I think my great-grandpa went to war, as well as some other relatives. No-one wanted to talk about it, and I've only heard a couple of stories that my grandma shared with me when I was a kid. No-one should ever have to go to war, but I do understand that people want to serve their country and protect their families. I have so much respect for people who have been to war, whether it's WW2, Afghanistan, or something else. After all, it's not the soldiers' fault that they have to fight.

Thanks for the link by the way! I think I still have my old VCR somewhere so it might actually be useful... :straw:
