Hey Sweethaert - well spoken - even in english. !!!

:hulla: Thanks...
and you will not believe...
Don and two real good friends are to blame I can articulate myself meanwhile in English.
No! I don't want to praise myself but...
Last year, January...
ALL what I have anytime learned in school in English was gone since centuries.
Okay - okay - the 20 vocabularies who can talk and understand everyone has been still there - nothing more!
Then came Don back in my life - I hhave had forgotten about him for more then 20 years. NO JOKE ! The truth!

And I have wanted to know ALL what was availabe in www.
Problem... :gi1: most of all was in English - so I have used for weeks the Google translator.
Then I registered in MV forum in March.
HUUUUUUH - again a bunch of infos and the very best in English.
There I met in June Vice Kitty and we have PMt a lot.
THAT was a real step to learn English.
Two month later at the end of July I told her about my *the flee in my mind* to create this DJ forum.
At that time I also have had my good German friend Heartbeat already
at my side with this idea.
And.... Vice Kitty has not laughed about me or hit the flee to death...
NO !!!! :girlhuepfen: She also has feeded THAT FLEE !
With the beginning of August we three have started to build this forum and after 8 weeks the
*new home for DJ* was ready.

Since this year I also have Alleycat as good friend with me.
And Vice Kitty and Alleycat have teached me to talk in English so very well
(AND I AM SO THANKFUL TO BOTH FOR THAT !!!!!)
meanwhile...
I even talk in English with my dog because I can't no longer separate the lanuages in my mind if I am a bit stressy.
:kichern: HA ! DON IS TO BLAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zitat:
You've got the point. Im a real fan - but w/out this oh - so - too hysteric behavior (well, maybe this comes with aging :- )) - cause I think I have an idea about the real person in Don (in some parts) - and I think thats what is so fascinating about him: real passion for family (yes, first) and his job. Always standing up after so much ups & downs (in his private and job - life). That character and charisma. Hach :- ))

And of Course: those eyes and the smile ... , the voice - ach - herrjeh :- ))))

No no no !!!!
You can't use MY words and feelings and emotions so identically for you !!!
NO NO NO !!! That is not allowed! :girlieskopfschuettel:

:volldolllach: NONSENSE!! A joke !!!! :girlfreu:

But... your words are so similar to all what I feel and have ever written here or at other place
we have talked about Don...

Yes ... it is not only his carriere as actor or singer....
What me really thrills is the man himself...
his youth
his family
his character
and in the main thing this admirable weeble in him which ALWAYS has known
HOW TO JUMP BACK ON THE FEET!!!!
THAT IT IS !!!!

Zitat:
btw: DONTASTIC is a great word. Love it
:dontastic:

Oh YES !!!
That word is simply :dontastic:!
It is a creation by Pal, also a  :2_girlie2_1: member with us.

And he also has created both smilies :dontastic: :donlicious: for us !!!

GREAT JOB PAL, again and again !!! :jc_thankyou: :minicool:

It is so funny... meanwhile I have used these both words so often *in public*...
my name is already connected with DONtastic.
Most funny scene was at Facebook as someone else commented to a DJ pic:

***How would ********* say?
Simply DONtastic!***

HA ! We are on the way to create our own forum language :55_midi04: !

All those stories are very interesting :2_girlie2_1:

By the way, did I tell you how I became an English teacher/translator ? Because of Don !! :gi1: :girlja:

Believe it or not, I had a crush on Don when I was a teenager :girlschwitzt: :blush1: which meant that I learnt by heart all his lines in French (by the way, the guy who dubbs DJ in French is called Patrick Poivey, a voice that I can recognize anywhere ! :coool: ) and I also started to learn them in original version. And it wasn't that simple as DVD didn't exist at that time... So I had to buy video tapes in England and I spent a fortune on that !! :girlja:
Anyway, I developed a kind of passion for that language and today I even pronounce words the same way as Don because he was my main reference for a long time. :gi1: Then, of course, I went to Cambridge University for a year to pass two exams and I also spent six months in the U.S.A. :girlhuepfen:

Then I started my career but Don is still my reference for pronouncing certain words :girlja:

Are you going to say that I'm crazy ? :gi1: or am I normal ? :gi1: I think DJ will influence the rest of my life one way or another... :dfbgirliezwinkern: I can't help it now ! It's too late !! :drehstuhl:

hey - I think: thats normal garzzziness :- )

.. thats exactly how I started to develope a "certain" interest in English :-); and If Dons way of speaking is the one and only reference - why not. Compared to some other colleagues of him (e.g. Robert de Niro), he is very easy to understand (or is it just because we "hang on his lips" like nobody else ???

and - btw: I would prefer if all French I know would speeak "Don-dialect". Cause at work I have to deal with a lot of french IT people from Amadeus in Nice. And their english is someteimes sssoooooo hard to understand (english words in french pronnouncation - :- )

Believe me...
I will be the very last who will think or say - YOU ARE CRAZY !!!!

That all is so normal to me - like the rythm with which the :boybrief: :email: :connie_happy-mail:
postman brings me every day the letters !!!

IT IS !!!
Just because...
WE HANG ON HIS LIPS !!!!!!!!! :girlja: :kichern: :mauridia_21:

OMG! :kotz2:
English... with french pronnounciation ???

Horrifying imagination.

But because we have now this seperated topic here - there is still place now to write a few words more.
Want you to know which were very happy moments in my life while using my SPOKEN English?

No... I am sorry...
no feedback to that by :don5: I am still working on that :girlzungeraus: but...

we are back to my two good English friends/teachers...
Both have said after listening to my English pronnounciation:
*We are suprised. You have a good pronnounciation - not much accent in it...*

OH BOY!
Believe me - that has felt like honey on my toast!!!

I think that is the only part of me school time which has been really valuable!
We have got in 1972 (first year I have had English) a young female teacher from USA!
Huuuuh - all parents screamed in anger and lack of understanding : W H Y ?????

But it was good!
This young lady couldn't speak German and we never learned any spoken English vocabulary with a German accent!
Okay okay... that I have lost all the translations and grammar rules over the years later... that is not her guilty...
I am simply a lazy bone :drehstuhl: :drehstuhl: :dfbgirliezwinkern:

Thank God, I don't have that kind of pronounciation problem. :dfbgirliezwinkern:

Without showing off, whenever I travel, people tell me that I have a good accent and that I'm easy to understand :blush1:

However, I have great difficulty to make my students speak English. :augenreib: :dfbboxen: They all are from the South of France - Languedoc-Roussillon) and it's a real nightmare to make them pronounce words the right way because of their strong French accent. They make horrible mistakes in French so you can imagine what it is when English is concerned !! :daumenrunter: In addition, they don't care. As for Nice, it is not too far away from my place and they also have a strong accent so I can imagine what a nightmare it must be to try to understand them as they don't want to make any effort... :grr:

Good luck for your job with them in the future then !! :coool:
